What’s the craziest fantasy you’ve had while in high school? Getting it on behind the bleachers during a football game? Getting a hands on lesson of the human anatomy in Science class? What about having hot sex with your teacher? If you live in Alabama, your fantasies are about to come true and Hot For Teacher may become your new favorite song.
It all started when Decatur High School teacher, Carrie Witt, 44, had charges brought against her because she had sex with two of her students – one of which was 17 when the sexual relationship started, the other male student was 18 years old.
The Witt-y teacher convinced Judge Glen Thompson that law enforcement never accused her of using her position to coerce the students into the sexual relation. On top of that, she also reaffirmed that the legal age of consent in Alabama is 16 years old, to which both young men were older than the limit when they began having sexual relations.
According to an interview Robert Tuten, Witt’s attorney, held with Fox News, “Had it have been some sort of coercion it would be a different story. The state has never said it was other than consensual. If that is the case they cannot charge (her) with a crime.”
Decatur law enforcement placed the history teacher under arrest back in 2016 when they received a complaint that she had been having sexual relations with a student who wasn’t 19 years old. Decatur High School placed her on administrative leave once she was arrested. She was able to post the $10,000 bail and was living free since.
Judge Thompson discovered that while there may have been a power gap between Witt and the students, it “clearly does not exist between every school employee and every student regardless of where that student is enrolled,” as reported by WHNT 19 News.
The judge also said that by law, students can have sex with their teachers, as long as they are 16 years old – unless the adult uses their “position of authority” to “coerce, groom, or otherwise obtain the illegitimate consent of the alleged victims.”
Witt isn’t the only Alabama teacher to have done the deed with a student. Upon Witt’s ruling, the case against David Solomon, 25 , a teacher’s aide at Falkville High School, was dismissed. Solomon was accused of having sexual relations with a 17 year old female student, according to WHNT 19 News.
Alabama set 19 years old as the legal age of consent back in 2010, but has recently changed the legal age limit to 16 years old. So, if you have 16 year old kids in school, you may want to be wary of their teachers because you never know what could happen after class! Yikes!
